A Performing Arts Academy for Music
OneMaker Academy empowers students to access opportunities for development, experience, networking and mentorship in all avenues of music. The OneMaker Academy team of professional musicians is a collective of people who believe in the power of teaching, encouragement, recording music and performing music. Our team are songwriters, music teachers, session musicians, classical/electronic/jazz majors, string maestros who will inspire students to achieve beyond expectations.
Our Music Program
Concert Bands
Our Concert Bands provide an opportunity for students to play in large ensembles, from Year 2 to Year 12. As students develop their performance skills they will progress through Beginner Concert Band, Concert Band 3, Concert Band 2 to Concert Band 1.
Our Beginner Band is for students who have just started learning how to play their instrument and to read music. As students develop their instrument technique, they will progress through Concert Band 3, Concert Band 2 to Concert Band 1. Concert Band 1 is for advanced students where they rehearse more intense works from a variety of different styles.

String Ensembles
We have a variety of Strings Ensembles which provides for the very beginners to those students who are skilled on their instruments to advanced level. They are entitled Adagio, Andante Allegro, and Vivace.
- The Beginner String Ensemble/s are for students in their first few years of playing, from open strings to simple songs.
- The Beginner + String Ensemble/s are for students who are developing and growing in ensemble skills.
- Intermediate String Ensemble/s are for students who have a developing knowledge of their instrument and musicality, performing in harmonies and increasingly harder music.
- Advanced Strings is for our leading ensemble students with a focus on stylistic cohesion and exemplary performances.

Vocal Ensembles
We have our Middle School (MS) & Senior School (SS) Vocal Groups which provides for students across both Middle and Senior School to sing with each other. Our Vocal Groups are for students from Year 5 to Year 12. All students are welcome to join, including accompanying piano players. The Vocal Groups collaborate with our instrumental Ensembles and Bands throughout the year for a variety of performances.
We encourage all our vocal students to be engaged in other areas of vocal training, be it private lessons, musical theatre classes, worship bands and the biannual School Musical. Enrolments across all activities can be organised through OneMaker Academy’s registration process.

Jazz Bands
Our Jazz Bands are an avenue for students to play in this challenging genre. These groups perform at a sophisticated level where students learn how to perform stylistically in a variety of jazz styles.
Students are expected to work diligently, as they rehearse more intense scores. Students are required to be performance ready at any time.

Orchestra
The Orchestra is for intermediate to advanced students with a confident understanding of music. It is a string, brass and wind ensemble that offers exposure to a variety of exciting classical and contemporary music. Students will form strong collaborative skills in a learning, fun-filled environment in order to showcase music at a high-performance level.
Rehearsals challenge students to develop ensemble techniques such as timing, expression, and listening, while exploring a diverse repertoire. The Orchestra performs regularly at school events, giving students valuable performance experience and a sense of achievement.
Whether preparing for further musical study or simply enjoying the joy of ensemble playing, students in the Orchestra grow in confidence, musicianship, and teamwork.

Private Music Lessons
At OneMaker Academy we aim to develop and nurture musicians of all levels and ages to reach their greatest musical potential and have a lot of fun along the way!
Private Tuition can foster the most beneficial moments in a young student’s journey of development. This is possible through regular practice times at home and with the support of parents, guardians, and friends. Most musical achievement is accomplished during this time, demonstrating self-discipline and motivation.
Students are given the opportunity to be taught from a wide range of instruments by professional teachers. Days and times available alongside costs are available via Sports Logic portal.

Affordable Access to Quality Instruments
We offer a broad range of instruments for rental from many of the world’s most prestigious manufacturers. This range includes Woodwind & Brass and String Instruments. Whether your children are just beginning on their musical journey or a seasoned professional, we are sure you will find a product to suit your needs. The minimum hire is for 1 year and you are invoiced at the time of hire. Please read the Music Terms and Conditions before applying.
